It’s been quite a while since I worked with actors and models to build their portfolios. Now that the newspaper industry is collapsing, I find myself free to pursue the work that had long been a part of my daily routine almost 20 years ago. So I’m trading in the Truth Telling that was part of my role as a journalist.

Now it will be photographing people whose talent is to look good on a magazine cover or to play a role in a film. At times the work will be at the opposite end of what I experienced when covering news. I’ll be creating moods and situations that are totally fabricated to help whomever I’m photographing look the part, like the one above of John Gelety who was looking to capture some if his talents in a photo as he portrays different characters.
